The best dedicated servers on the auctions are gone in minutes. Server Drops keeps watch around the clock, spots the genuine value deals and catches the ones that fit your spec before anyone else does.
Private beta. Invite only while we tune the scope.
Every server on the auctions falls into one of ten classes: how much compute, and what storage. Here's what each usually costs, how often one turns up, and how many hunters are after it.
The rare ones that got away: servers that went for 30% or more under what the same setup normally sells for. With a hunt armed, they could have been yours.
Tell us what you have and what you pay. We compare it with what the same setup sells for today, and how many as good or better went for less this month.
We monitor the auctions around the clock, so nothing good slips past while you're asleep or busy.
Every server is judged against what the same setup normally sells for. We only flag genuine value, not just a low price tag.
Tell us the spec you're hunting. When a real deal turns up, we grab it within your limits and let you know. Not the right box? Cancel it.
Some hosting companies sell their used dedicated servers in an online auction (in German: Serverbörse) at a monthly price, with no setup fee. The best ones are gone within minutes.
Tell Server Drops the spec you want and the most you'll pay a month. We track every server on the auction, compare it with what the same setup normally sells for, and catch the real deals for you.
Yes. We order it on your own hosting account the moment it turns up, so it's yours: you see it in your account, you're billed directly by the host, and you can cancel it there.
Our fee is about one month's saving on the server we catch, and only when we catch one. Keep the server for more than a month and Server Drops has paid for itself.
A good deal is 15% or more under the usual price for that setup; the best ones (we call them trophies) are 30% or more under.
From real sales: the middle price this exact setup (same CPU, RAM and every disk) sold for in the last 3 months. If that exact setup hasn't sold, we use the closest setup that has (same CPU and RAM), and never price it higher than that, so savings aren't overstated. Every server shows how its price was worked out.
Yes: agents can see the current deals and the odds for a spec, and sign you up, through a free API. See the page for agents.
